Assessment of Pollution from Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Heavy metal in the Sediments of the Feiyunjiang River Estuary

  • The surface sediment was collected at the Feiyunjiang River estuary. The study showed that the average content of TN, TP,and OM was higher than that of other rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. TN was evaluated as moderate pollution, TP as severe pollution, and Asas mild pollution. The average content of Cu, Zn, Cd, Cr, Pb, and As was higher than the soil environmental background value, and some elements were higher than the measured values in other regions. TN, TP, and OM were not correlated, but Cr was positively correlated with Cu, Pb, Cd with Zn, and As, which may have similar sources.
