Determination of Silver in Soilby Microwave Digestion Method and Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry

  • A new method for the determination of Ag in soil by microwave digestionmethod and Inductively Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometry(ICP-MS) is established. The result showed that the correlation coefficient of calibration curve of Ag was over 0.9995. The method detected limit was 0.002mg/kg. The accuracy degree of the method was in accordance with the certified standard values. The recoveries of soil samples were in the range of 88.0~95.5% and RSDs of the results were among 2.3~4.0%. The technique of microwave digestion was convenient, little of pollution and complete. This test method has been successfully applied to the determination of Ag in soils because of its accuracy, high sensitivity and good linear relationship.
