Study on Purification Performance of Aquatic Plant for Closed Landscape Water

  • The closed landscape water body environment was simulated, and the purification performance of 5 kinds of aquatic plant growing in the water body on the contents of total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), and chemical oxygen demand (CODCr) was compared. The results showed that 5 species of aquatic plant have different levels of water purification capacity. The removal rates of TN, TP, and COD of domestic wastewater by Hydrocotylechinensis (Dunn) Craib were 31%, 84%, 69%, respectively. The removal rates of TN, TP, and COD of the lake water in Hainan Tropical Ocean University by Hydrocotylechinensis (Dunn) Craib were 52%, 81%, 83%, respectively. The removal rates of TN, TP, and COD of the lake water in Egret Park by ScirpusvalidusVahl were 75%, 83%, 78%, respectively.Hydrocotylechinensis (Dunn) Craib has good purification effect on the water body with higher content of TN and TP. In the water bodies with low pollution levels of TN and TP,ScirpusvalidusVahl has a good purification effect. Among the water bodies with different pollution degrees, Hydrocotylechinensis (Dunn) Craib has a good removal effect on COD.
