Exploration of Sustainable Agricultural Farming Mode in the Songhuaba Reservoir Drinking Water Source Reserve by Establishing Water-based Organic Agriculture

Abstract
The six major projects of "sow stoppage, no-tillage, changing farmland to forest, banning flowers and vegetables, soil testing and formula fertilization, agricultural reformation, and ecological agriculture base construction" in the Songhuaba Reservoir water source protection area have improved the water quality and the surrounding environment. However, the living and production of the residents in the protected area has been greatly affected. This paper proposed to develop "water-based organic agriculture", which would establish a water quality protection system, reduce the agricultural non-point source pollution load, decrease the storage of pollutants, ensure the safety of drinking water, implement the concept of green development, and promote the area. The reform of the agricultural supply side could change clear waters and green mountains into mountains of gold and silver. It also enhances agricultural efficiency and higher harvest to make the rural greener to achieve the goal of combining the water quality protection with the transformation and upgrading of agricultural production.
