Emission Inventory and Characteristics of Volatile Organic Compounds from Anthropogenic Sources in Honghe

  • Based on the data of emission level and emission factors of VOCs from man-made sources in Honghe Prefecture, the emission inventory of VOCs from man-made sources in 2017 was established. The results showed that the VOCs emission from man-made sources in 2017 was 65191t, including 7760t, 5016t, 14109t, and 8776t from biomass combustion sources, fossil fuel sources, process sources, solvent use sources and mobile sources, respectively. The share rates were 11.9%, 7.69%, 21.64%, 45.30%, and 13.46%, respectively. Asphalt paving is the largest contribution source of solvent use; alcohol manufacturing, fertilizer manufacturing and gas stations are the key industrial emission sources, accounting for 63.4% of the process sources; the largest source of mobile emissions is motorcycles, accounting for 71.67%; the main source of biomass combustion is biomass open combustion, accounting for 66.53%; the largest source of fossil fuel is industrial and residential coal emissions, The proportion is 90.73%. The VOCs emission from human sources in each county and city showed a two-level differentiation with the Red River as the boundary. The VOCs emission of 7 counties and cities in the north of Mengzi, Gejiu, Kaiyuan and Maitreya accounted for 77%, and the VOCs emission of 6 counties in the south of Yuanyang, Honghe and Lvchun accounted for 23%.
