Study on the Effect of Edible Fungus Mycelium on Campus Sewage Purification

  • This experiment adopted the mushroom mycelium to carry out the campus sewage purification treatment. Through testing the changes of pH, COD, BOD5, TP and TN in the purification process, the effects of edible fungi hyphae on campus domestic sewage were examined. The results indicated that the use of mycelium on campus sewage purification had a certain effect. The removal rate of COD and BOD5 reached 79.91% and 91.55%. But the removal of TN and TP was not ideal. The inoculation amount of oyster mushroom mycelium had different influences on the purification effect. In this experiment, three inoculation amounts of mycelium, namely 3%, 5%, and 10%, were selected. The purification effect of domestic sewage was 3%>5% > 10%.
