A Preliminary Study on Problems and Countermeasures of Urban Planning Environmental Impact Assessment

This article analyzed the current problems of PEIA in terms of the planning type, the intervention time, and the linkage with project EIA, and put forward the suggestions covering identifying which type of urban planning needing to be assessed and the related and practical recommendations on how to simplify the administrative approval procedure of the project EIA based on the conclusion of PEIA, which would effectively make full use of the roles of PEIA to prevent ecological destroy and optimize urban development in advance.
