The Feasibility and Advantages of Determining Volatile phenols by AA3 Continuous Flow Analyzer

  • AA3 continuous flow analyzer with 100 cm liquid waveguide capillary cell(LWCC) was used to determine volatile phenols in water in order to investigate the feasibility and advantages of continuous flow analysis(CFA) method. The results showed that the linear correlation was above 0.9995, the detection limit was as low as 0.15μg/L, the relative standard deviation(RSD) was 0.62% and the recovery was 93. 8%~107.5%. All those indexes indicated that it was feasible to determine volatile phenols in water by CFA, especially for large-batch determination of low-concentration volatile phenols because of the advantages of CFA such as high sensitivity and low detective limit, high accuracy and precision, high stability, high analysis speed and less reagents consumption.
