Causes of Increasing Nitrogen Dioxide in Urban Wuhai

By analyzing the monthly variation of nitrogen dioxide concentration, it was found that the high concentration in January and February was the main reason for the increase of nitrogen dioxide concentration this year compared with last year. According to the rose map analysis of NO₂ pollution, the pollutants mainly came from the southeast and surrounding areas. Through the analysis of remote sensing map, it was found that the local emission and peripheral transport of NO₂ pollution in urban Wuhai were interwoven. Through Pearson correlation coefficient analysis,the pollution was related to the emissions of industrial enterprises. It was suggested to strengthen the control and joint prevention and control of pollution discharge of industrial enterprises, which was the fundamental way of environmental pollution control.
