Feasibility Assessment of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage(CCUS) Technology Application in Yunnan Province's Iron and Steel Industry
-
Abstract
This study focuses on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage(CCUS) technologies in the iron and steel industry of Yunnan Province. By combining the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution(TOPSIS), the paper analyzes and evaluates the benefits of various mainstream CCUS technologies across three dimensions: economic, social, and sustainability. The results indicate that sustainability benefits constitute the core indicator for current technology selection. Specifically, monoethanolamine(MEA) post-combustion capture technology is identified as the optimal choice for current application due to its high compatibility with Yunnan's regional conditions, ranking first in comprehensive application potential. The quantitative evaluation results provide scientific decision-making support for the future research, development, and application of CCUS technologies.
