Improvement of Three-dimensional Electrode Electrochemical Reactor
-
Abstract
A self-made three-dimensional electrode electrochemical reactor was used to treat simulated phenol wastewater in this study, and the influence of factors such as the ratio of activated carbon and quartz sand fillers and the flow rate of effluent on the treatment efficiency of phenol and COD was investigated. Under the conditions of a phenol concentration of 200 mg/L, a constant current of 2 A, a filler ratio of 9:1, and a flow rate of 16 ml/min, the removal rate of phenol was 98.6%, the energy consumption was 5.67 kWh/kg, and the COD removal rate was 83.8%, with an energy consumption of 2.90 kWh/kg when using intermediate effluent. The experimental results showed that the COD treatment efficiency was significantly improved, and the energy consumption was reduced when a certain proportion of quartz sand was added.
