Current Situation and Analysis of Water Quality of the Jinsha River(Yunnan Section) Basin
-
Abstract
A total of 67 representative river sections, tributaries, and lakes were selected in the Jinsha River(Yunnan section) Basin for water quality sampling analysis.Six water quality monitoring indicators involving pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, total nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus were chosen to legally evaluate the water quality status of the Jinsha River(within Yunnan Province) in 2021 adopting a single factor category evaluation method and the ArcGIS software spatial interpolation tool. The inverse distance weighting method was used to analyze the spatial distribution changes of various water quality monitoring indicators in the basin. The results showed that there were significant differences in the spatial distribution of pollutants in the basin, but the spatial distribution patterns were not completely the same. The spatial differences in pH and dissolved oxygen were not significant, and there were significant differences in turbidity, total nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus within the basin.
