Design and Method of Soil Monitoring Site Layout based on the Delineation of Urban and Rural Environmental Gradient Zone in Haikou City

  • In order to meet the needs of soil ecological quality assessment and pollution prevention and management of Haikou in the new era, Haikou urgently needs to set up soil monitoring sites based on the gradient zone of urban and rural environment. Based on the analysis of urban and rural environmental gradient zone, land use type, soil parent rock, soil type and pollution source distribution in Haikou City, the idea and method of soil monitoring sites layout in Haikou City were formed, and the point layout was completed by GIS technology. The soil monitoring sites in Haikou City covered four urban and rural environmental gradient zones, which were spotted in the urban center zone, the urban-rural ecotone zone, the rural area, and the natural area. They basically covered the main soil types and the main soil parent rocks of the agricultural land in Haikou City. The layout of the sites could reflect the overall situation of soil environmental quality in different urban and rural environmental gradient zones in Haikou City.
