Determination of Inorganic Elements in the Air by Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer

  • Epsilon 3 type-energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer was used to measure air filter membrane samples directly in helium medium, which can quickly and reliably determine a variety of inorganic elements in the ambient air. The maximum relative standard deviation between the measured results and the standard value was only 6. 1%. The method was applied to the determination of Na,Mg,Al,Si,P,s,K,CA,Ti,V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Cu,Zn,Ba,Pb and other inorganic elements in four practical membrane samples. Compared with the results of ICP-MS,the results showed that the method was reliable and could meet the current monitoring needs and be widely used.
