Study on the Adsorptive Capability of Oyster Shell Powder to Cadmium Ions in Water

  • In this study,a new type of high-efficiency adsorption material was prepared in high-temperature activation treatment using waste oyster shells as raw materials. And the clearance ratio of the material of Cd2+ ions in polluted water was investigated under different experimental conditions. The results showed that in the condition of100 m L of Cd2+ solution( 10μg/m L),room temperature,2. 0 g of powder,standing for 12 hours,the oyster shell powder roasted at 800℃ for 20 min could remove 88. 99% of Cd2+.
