Groundwater Environmental Impact Assessment of a Steel Pipe Processing Factory in Tianjin
-
Abstract
According to "Technical guidelines for environmental impact assessment-groundwater environment",a steel pipe processing factory in Tianjin was taken as an example for predicting the influence of manufacturing and processing on groundwater environment. Based on identifying estimation level and area, predictive factors and times, evaluation standard, pollution source, and generalized model, the ranges of diffusion migration for zinc and total phosphorus pollutions are calculated under abnormal condition. The results showed that the influential ranges of zinc and total phosphorus pollution would have expanded the factory's boundary by the time of service period of15-year. Consequently,it was suggested that the construction organizations should take a full responsibility to carry out the measures of pollutions monitoring, seepage control and leak detection in accordance with relevant regulations and standards,to reduce the influence on groundwater environment.
