Temporal and Spatial Characteristics of Atmospheric Particulate Matter in the Triangle Urban Agglomeration of Fujian based on Pollution Events
-
Abstract
Atmospheric particulate matter has become a major air pollutant affecting urban air quality and human health.Taking Fujian triangle urban agglomeration as the research area,PM10 concentration as the index of atmospheric particulate matter, air pollution events are defined according to WHO standards.According to the frequency of air pollution events, the concentration of PM10 and the meteorological factors affecting the concentration of atmospheric particulate matter in urban agglomerations were studied. The results showed that the frequency and concentration in Fujian triangle urban agglomeration were lower in summer and autumn, higher in spring and winter. The spatial difference of the frequency and the concentration in the area showed that Quanzhou was larger than Zhangzhou and Xiamen. There was great difference in urban interior space. The PM10 concentration in Zhangzhou was significantly affected by precipitation in winter. The main meteorological factors affecting concentration in Xiamen were precipitation and temperature.Wind direction and humidity were significant meteorological factors affecting PM10 concentration in Quanzhou. The results provided reference for further study of air pollution in Fujian triangle urban agglomeration.
