Study on Nitrogen and Phosphorus Purification Effect of Polluted River Water by Aquatic Plants in Ecological Ponds
-
Abstract
The experiment was conducted to study the nitrogen and phosphorus purification effect of polluted river water by foxtail algae and cabbage in ecological pond that was set up by the ecological pond 1-constructed wetland-ecological pond 2 sewage ecological treatment system. The results showed that the growth of foxtail algae in high concentration sewage was much faster than that in low concentration sewage, while the growth of Chinese cabbage in high concentration sewage was slower than that in low concentration sewage. The removal rates of TN and TP by aquatic plants in ecological ponds 1 and 2 were similar, and the removal effects were stable. However, the removal rates of TN and TP by aquatic plants in different ecological ponds were quite different.Among them, the removal rates of TN by aquatic plants in ecological ponds 1 and 2 accounted for 4.98% and 8.88% of the total removal of TN by the system, respectively. The removal of TP by aquatic plants in Eco-pond 1 and Eco-pond 2 accounted for 2.70% and 7.40% of the total removal of TP,respectively.
