Study on the Present Situation of the Water Pollution of the Lakes in Kaifeng City

In recent years,the deterioration of lake water quality has gradually affected the function of tourist cities.In order to understand the present pollution situation of the lakes in Kaifeng city,this paper took five lakes in Kaifeng City,namely Jinming Lake,Bianxi Lake,Longting Lake,Baogong Lake and Iron tower Lake,as the main research objects.By measuring seven water quality indexes including pH,total phosphorus,total nitrogen,chemical oxygen demand,ammonia nitrogen,dissolved oxygen and suspended solids,integrated pollution index method and Nemero Integrated pollution index method were used to evaluate the degree of water pollution.The results showed that the major pollutants in the urban lakes were total phosphorus,ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen.The total phosphorus mass concentration ranged from 0.11 to 0.30 mg/L,total nitrogen mass concentration ranged from 1.48 to 6.50 mg/L,and ammonia nitrogen mass concentration ranged from 0.38 to 3.81 mg/L.Bianxi Lake was least polluted.Baogong Lake was most polluted.Through field investigation and analysis of the present situation of the lake pollution in Kaifeng,suggestions on water pollution control of urban lakes in Kaifeng were proposed.
