Abstract:
This study investigates the current status and challenges in the environmental management and comprehensive utilization of aluminum dross, based on a field investigation of aluminum profile processing enterprises and dross recycling facilities in a prefecture-level city in a central province of China. The environmental management practices concerning dross generation and storage at aluminum profile enterprises were analyzed, and the prevalent issues in their operations were identified. Concurrently, the process technologies adopted by comprehensive utilization facilities for aluminum dross across the province were categorized, and common problems encountered during recycling were examined. Through a detailed analysis of these challenges, this study puts forward targeted suggestions and measures. These findings aim to provide support for enhancing the environmental management standards for the aluminum processing industry, guiding rational investment, and optimizing the layout of hazardous waste treatment and disposal facilities in the province.
