Abstract: In order to alleviate the environmental problems caused by the process of agricultural production,the implementation of agricultural ecological compensation could be key means to realize the virtuous circle and sustainable development of the agricultural ecological environment. The basic premise of the realization of agricultural ecological compensation is briefly described from the perspective of economic benefits and society.The five aspects of the DPSIR model were used to analyze the necessity and implementation status of establishing agro-ecological compensation in Yunnan Province. The analytic hierarchy process(AHP) was adopted to construct the evaluation index of agricultural ecological compensation in Yunnan. The results showed that the macroeconomic factors and policies and regulations in the agro-ecological compensation mechanism had a greater impact on it. It provided specific measures and suggestions on promoting the establishment of agro-ecological compensation mechanism in Yunnan Province, by developing compensation demonstration areas, incorporating agro-ecological compensation into the market, and improving relevant laws and regulations.
