Abstract:
This study focused on resource-based cities in the three northeastern provinces, collected carbon emission data from 2007 to 2021, and used a geographically weighted regression model to explore the spatiotemporal characteristics and influencing factors of carbon emissions. The results show that carbon emissions fluctuate greatly and are generally high, which is affected by economic, policy, industrial structure and global economic fluctuations. There are large differences in emissions between cities, and the industrial structure plays a leading role in different cities. GDP per capita has a complex relationship with carbon emissions, and economic transformation and public transportation also affect carbon emissions. In short, it is necessary to take multiple measures to strengthen green transportation and carbon emission management to achieve sustainable development and effective emission reduction.
