Abstract:
In the context of global climate change, carbon peaking and carbon neutrality are key objectives. The structure and function of urban ecological systems play a crucial role in implementing the dual carbon strategy and promoting ecological civilization. Futian District, as the core area of Shenzhen City, is actively exploring and advancing the dual carbon initiative. This study, using Futian District as a case study, evaluated and analyzed the zone's current state of ecological carbon sequestration and challenges, and proposed a series of strategies to enhance urban ecological carbon sequestration capabilities, fostering eco-friendly sustainable development, with a view to providing theoretical support for other areas to improve ecological carbon sequestration capabilities and achieve near-zero emissions targets.
