Abstract: In order to study the relationship between economic growth and environmental pollution characteristics and determine the stage of ecological and environmental protection in Shaanxi Province,this study conducted a statistical analysis of the main pollutant emissions and per capita GDP in Shaanxi Province based on the EKC curve obtained the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics from 2004—2019.The results showed that the EKC curves of different pollutants had different characteristics,in which chemical oxygen demand,ammonia nitrogen and SO₂ emissions increased first and then decreased with economic growth in an inverted U-shaped trend,and NO_X emissions declined with economic growth.
